Hello Hecks,
I am sooo sorry... When I ready your original post, it did not occur to me to switch from Binsearch to Newsleecher... I just made the switch and it is now working as expected.
One of the problems I had with Binsearch was the indexing of items as they were being uploaded/propagated. Alt.Binz allows me to set the duration of time between RSS loads, but it doesn't allow me to set the duration of time since the upload itself...
I occasionally have errors because the file was still being uploaded while I was downloading the RSS feed. Even if I set my RSS feed for 1 hour, I still missed parts cause the upload originally began at a random time before my RSS began a check.
I understand this may be challenging to programmatically overcome. However, here is one idea:
In filters, allow me to have a filter of:
BB8AU* | A | 3
The last pipe is the number of times a matched file is seen in the RSS feed before it begins to download.
If I set a "| 3" in the filter, the first time the RSS feed is checked, matching files will be shown as yellow, then the RSS feed delay will be 20 minutes (or 10 minutes etc) followed by a reload. Again the file will be shown as yellow. Then on the third RSS reload (now n+20+20 minutes), the file will turn green and be downloaded. By adding this feature, the file will have existed for more than 40 minutes on the server before I start the download.
Thanks again for the support,
David
