0.27.0 (and below?) is not able to auto-unrar .partxxx.rar files?

Like the topic states, when archives are like xxx.part001.rar til xxx.part999.rar Alt.Binz is not able to unrar, just the regular .rar, .r00, .r01... Why don't you switch to a 7-Zip plugin? They are free to use in your tool and support almost every archive out there. Or is this just a programming mistake?

I have no problems with extracting such rar-files. Did you make sure the download also containts a par2-file?

Yes, the downloads contain PAR2 files. I get the green icon (meaning all files are complete and no repair is needed) and then a little red cross icon in the WinRAR column. So you are saying that normally it should work with these RAR variants?

that red cross means something went wrong

there is a message for that in your log, plz post it here, so we can see what it is and help you solve it

I didn't have logging enabled, so I can't post that. If you guys are saying the other kind of RAR files should not be a problem, then just something went wrong... When I manually unpacked I didn't find any errors, so it's strange.

I think I know what happens, because now I have exactly the same with another download, and in this case it's the old-fashioned .rar-.r99.

I rename the archive (CTRL+R) when downloading to a more descent name, this way the PAR2 still works, but apparently it gives problems with unrarring... I'll post logs as soon as I have them (forgot to turn them on, they're on now).

All I did was open 'ViVa.nzb' and rename the archive in Alt.Binz to 'w00t'. The result is that PAR2 keeps functioning but RAR doesn't. Here we go:

Define 'rename the archive in Alt.Binz' . Did you rename collection name? Before download or in the middle of it.

Like I stated in my previous post, renaming with CTRL+R as in renaming the collection, in this case in the middle of the download, but that should not be a problem right? If it is a problem, maybe you want to disable the function for downloads that have already started and/or move the files from the old file directory to the new directory after renaming the collection. The only problem seems to be unrarring, PAR2 seems to 'know' where the files before the renaming are located and after.

OK, after spending 5 minutes testing this, to confirm: if you have the Setup > Download  'Create subfolders based on NZB/collection name' enabled, and you rename the collection while it is downloading (i.e. after the first files have been decoded and saved), then Alt.Binz creates another download directory named after the new collection name - as you would expect.  The archive files will now be split between the two folders; PAR2 checking continues fine, but unraring obviously fails.  Moving the .rar files into the folder that contains the small PAR2 file solves that problem.

Obviously it's inadvisable to change the collection name if the 'Create subfolders' option is checked.

Well, call it 'obviously' or not, maybe the CTRL+R option should be disabled when the create subfolder option is enabled? Or if the create subfolder option is enabled, and CTRL+R is used, maybe the already downloaded files could be moved into the new folder? The way it works now is not 100% correct imho.

wether that's a nessesary improvement is a question of taste. i personaly think it would be a nice gimmick but not nessesary, because once there is one file downloaded before i change the collection' s name i know there's a folder and there are files in it, so i can just put them in the correct folder myself or i use the option of renaming the collection before start
