Title: 0.27.2 - Sleep issue
Post by: binaryboy on March 17, 2008, 10:48:13 am
Hi Rdl,

I thought the problem with my computer sleeping while alt.binz was actively downloading had been fixed in this release, but it does not appear to be the case - well certainly not for me anyway.

If I set my vista ultimate pc to sleep after 1 minute of idle, neither 0.27.1 or 0.27.2 will prevent my pc going to sleep when the idle time is reached.

I have run your debug app, sleep.exe, again. After the pc returns from sleeping, the values in the text box are:

536, 4, 0
536, 18, 0
536, 7, 0

I'm not sure but I think they are the same values that I gave you before.

Any ideas why this happening? If you need me to do any more testing please let me know.

Thanks

M

PS. Not sure if it's of any use to you - not be a programmer myself - but I found this info on msdn about preventing sleep mode:
