Hi

Bit of a newbie to the forums (but not to pc's), but seems like a bug to me:

The limiter does not seem to work as I have adjusted to 50% and no impact on DL performance.

DL is 527 KB/s I reduce to 50%... "expecting 50% of full speed" i.e 250 kB/S (is)
- However no difference, Could it be because the PC is connected to a network on a 10/100 network card?

For example 50% of speed according to limiter is 25,000 kB/S (therefore counteracts the limiter to actual speed req?)
- it believes the 90% of speed is 45000...

Does it need a fix to go to the limiter to change divide by 100 on the network when it is connected to a 10/100  network?
Or give the user to specify something i.e a divide etc?

For the limiter to work, first u have to set a maximum download speed in Setup/Connection Options/Max Download speed

I've changed the Connection settings Maximum Download speed to 560KB/s

Reduced the limiter to 50% of traffic (280  kB/s)

However the throughput I am getting is on average 350kB/s - 440kB/s
(#60 connections )  -is it because of the quantity of connections, it cannot limit to that speed?

It does now seem to limit it from the max slightly but not as antcipated? (not to the 50%?)

The quickest thing to do is check it yourself.  Drop to 3-5 threads and work upwards.

Or don't bother and drop the limiter to 40% or whatever setting gives you the speed you want
