I just got the latest version and copied the files overwriting my old version of Alt.binz. When I started the program, it gave me a msg box reading "Stream Read Error" and so I clicked ok but can't seem to get anything connected.
When I close the application it reads Access violation at address 007B63A7. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Just to add onto this for more context, I was using 0.35.2 and was working fine, after finding the error on 0.36.1 I went back to 0.35.2 & 0.36.0 and still showed the same error so not sure if it's software or just my system acting up.

Start by backing up and removing things from misc dir. Once you find the problem it would be nice if I could get problematic file.

I had this problem on a recent upgrade (can't recall the version), but it turned out there were remenants of the app in memory. I rebooted and it was fine.

Hi, I've done a complete cleanup of registry, memory, defrag. Still getting the same results.
Rdl, when you mentioned to clean up misc, can you provide me with more direction, not sure what that means (sorry, newbie on this software). Thanks.

Check FAQ https://www.altbinz.net/forum/index.php?topic=3959.0 for location of misc folder. Start removing file by file while starting altbinz again and again

There was no problem with the misc folder, but once I deleted the files in the queue folder, it was fine. Thanks rdl, huge fan of the software.

You don't have backup? I would really like those queue files. That's the only way to fix the error.

Had the same problem today: "stream read error" after updating, but to be fair my system had also just crashed. Rebooted again, no luck. Deleting the misc folder didn't solve the problem, but deleting the queue folder did. I managed to restore the queue by simply removing the prefix "old_" from two files in the queue folder - one of which was "old_queue".
