Added server lost after restart Vista
« on: July 29, 2007, 06:05:00 pm »
Hello,

I've added a server to the server list at my brother in law's PC.
He had downloaded for a few day and after that closed the program and shut down Vista. After restarting the system the new added server was gone.
We've tried this again, with the same result.

In Program files\altbinz\misc\ i have opened the file servers.abz with notepad. The new server is not in the file?

Has anyone a solution for this problem?

Thanks,

Rob

If you have UAC enabled, then Vista will have saved any changes made in Program Files\Altbinz to a virtual directory under a user account (most likely your brother-in-law's).  You'll need to do some Googling to work out how to find it ...

For running Altbinz under Vista w/out hassles, try:

Right-click > Run as Administrator and/or install (or just move) the whole Altbinz directory to a user account rather than in Program Files.  Or just anywhere else other than C:\Program Files.

Let us know if that doesn't do the trick.
