nfo file copied to the wrong folder?
« on: February 16, 2008, 12:34:07 pm »
Hi!

Today I had 2 posts in the download queue. The second one contained an nfo file. When the first post was downloaded, AltBinz extracted it and somehow copied the nfo file of the second posting to the extraction folder of the first. When the second posting was downloaded, the nfo was missing of course so AltBinz had to repair the posting.

To make it short: the nfo of the second posting ended up in the extraction folder of the first one.

Regards!

Check your setup->unrar->move to unrar folder settings

this happens, because alt.binz moves all nfo files in your download foler to your unrar folder if it is the same download folder for all posts.
- Download A is finshed and starts to unrar
- Download Bs nfo file is downloaded
- Download A has finished unraring
- all nfo files in the folder are moved to unrar folder (so nfo from Download B ends up there too)

to avoid this, activate subfolders for your default download dir (setup -> download)

Yep, using download subfolders named after NZB is generally a good idea with Alt.Binz, I think.  Not only does it solve problems like this, it's also easier to manage your root download folder.  Alt.Binz can delete the subfolders when empty, too.
