I'am using alt.binz versie 0.31.6 (latest at this moment). Installed it on Windows 7 32 Bit virtual machine (Hyper-V). CPU is a Intel Core2 Duo 2.66 Ghz. Internet connection 100 mbit full duplex.
When I download alt.binz uses the CPU about 80 - 100%. Allsow alt.binz doesn't download faster as 8.3 - 8.5 mbyte/sec. My internet connection is 100mbit (about 11.3 mbyte/sec max.). Firewall, Juniper Netscreen wich is cappable of 100mbit througput.
In the past (maby 1 year ago) I used alt.binz to at then it had the same problem. Thats why I used Newsleecher wich works fine under a virtual machine. I used VMware ESX 3.5 and 4.0 too with the same problems with alt.binz. Alsow Windows XP of Vista makes no difference.
When I install it on a physical machine I never had problems and alt.binz is able to download at the maximum speed, about 11.3 mbyte/sec.
I alsow disabled the virus scanner and installed even no virusscanner. Then problem still exist. The problem is not my internet connection or firewall. When I download with Newsleecher I don't have any problems.
Does alt.binz support Virtual Machines?
Any solution?
Is this a known issue?
