I think i had the same problem just a few minutes ago.
Connections freeze and some time later i get error (memory?) messages from alt.binz.

I did try to locate the problem, and i think i know the problem now. (  ??? )
It seems that if you load the que with more then 50GB of files you get this problem.

When i removed a dvd, the que droped from 52gb to 49gb and now all is running fine again.
Had the problem with 0.27.2 and 0.28.1.

Also when the que is over 50 gb you see the filesize dropping to fast (from the files) before the freeze...

@neo_atomic

Nope, having more than 50 GB in the queue certainly doesn't reproduce this bug.  The behaviour you describe - files disappearing quickly from queue - is most likely because your server doesn't have them.  As ever, your Log contains all the relevant information.  Your Log will also tell you what Alt.Binz was doing when it crashed.  This should always be your starting-point for trouble-shooting.

Edit: I notice that you mention 0.27.2 and 0.28.1, but those versions are only available to Contributors.  Please click the Donate button and follow the instructions, or you'll be banned from this forum.

Hi im having the same problem since today.

The Download begins... and than suddenly it stops and alt.binz freezes.

I get "Invalid Pointer operation" as Message Box.

I did not update Windows the last few days.

Im running Windows XP SP2

Update: Sorry i was too fast writing in the forum. I looked into the log and saw that alt.binz could not handle a too large filename. This must cause the crashes.
