Autopush Version Button
« on: November 17, 2010, 07:46:39 am »
Autopush Version Button - popup always fails to reach the front of my desktop, making AltBinz untouchable until I've moved several other windows out of the way.

Same for me, so I've disabled it for now.

So, to be clear. As soon as you hit version button, popup is displayed but window is in background? What OS?

Version button was on Autopush, OS is Vista 64-bit. The "new version" indicator popped up behind the altbinz main window making it unclickable. I could make the popup window come to foreground by opening/switching to a different window and then switching back to altbinz, or by minimizing all windows then restoring.

This should be fixed in 0.33.1
So, please enable it and when 0.33.2 is out report results...

Thanks rdl. Just out of interest, what's the difference between the "Autopush Version button" option and the "Check for new Alt.Binz version every x hours"? Do they both trigger the popup?

they basicly do the same thing, but autopush is a one time thing at AB start while every x hours checks every x hours as long as AB is open.

Oh so if I set it to check once a week then the program would have to be open a whole week for it to work? Ooops...  ;)

I could happily live with a weekly check for updates.

Thanks, new version downloaded and in use - can't report on the fix until another new version comes out though :)

In what state was altbinz?
Onscreen, maximized, minimized, in tray?
