Browsing affected by Alt Binz
« on: December 25, 2015, 11:35:46 pm »
I have been using Alt Binz for a few years and this problem has only developed in the past few months.

I have had the same problem on Windows 7 and 10.

AB version is 39.15.

Essentially when I put Alt Binz on my internet browsing basically stops working - I just get a server cannot connect type message in Firefox. If I turn Alt Binz off then it works again.

My max downlaod is 1200KB/s.

I have amended 2 settings in Alt Binz and for the moment it seems to be working - but can I go back to what I presuem was the old way where my broswer would use what it needs to and Alt Binz uses the remainign speed.

The 2 options in AB I changed were

Under CONNECTION - max downlaod speed to 1000KB/s (theoretically giving me 200KB/s for browsing)

Under MISCELLANEOUS - choosing speed limit to 90%.

On the bottom left hand corner I can now see 900KB/s is slected and next to that is my download speed - currently 1066KB/s - which I presume it is upto 90% of my max speend. But why doesn;t it limit it to 1000 as I set it to or why not the 900 which is shown?
