changing download folder doesnt update for queued items
« on: July 13, 2011, 12:55:36 pm »
Hi,

I'm using version 0.38.5 [and new to alt.binz btw]
I had a small queue of items that were paused and had no started downloading at all.
In the settings I changed the Download Folder location to a new directory.

I then later unpaused these downloads and started downloading them only to find the items being downloaded into the old download folder.
I've gone back and double checked the settings and the updated folder locations are still correct.
I looked more closesly at the GUI and found that it still lists the old download folder location for the queue item(s) because they were added before I changed the download location. This has also occured with the unrar directory because I changed that as well.

This could be intended behaviour (I'm unsure) but I just assumed when I changed the download folder (particuarly for items that hadn't begun downloading yet) that it would update for paused queued items. Not a big issue but just not intuitive and had me confused for a while until I realised what had happened.

If you have any trouble understanding what I'm saying please let me know.

Regards,
Michael

I understand what you're saying. It works that way. Once you change default download folder, it's used only for items imported from that moment.
Old collections use old folder. To change folder for old collections, select them all and press CTRL+H (or click on 'Change download folder' button on the toolbar or right click and select same menu item)
