Ok, here's the situation. I have 100Mbps internet connection, so I have set "Maximum connection speed" in Settings->Connection to 10000 KB/s. If I download something, without limiter, it downloads it full speed (around that 10000 KB/s). BUT if I set the limiter to anything, eg 50%, my download speed slows to <1000 KB/s, when it should be 5000 KB/s.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and alt.binz 0.31.1.

does it show 5000 KB as the limit? when u put in the limit it is shown left of the actual speed...

ok then the limit is actualy set correctly and should be working unfortunatly i can't confirm that the bug esxists because i don't have 100 mbps. maybe someone else could confirm that...
Edith: By the way 0.31.2 is out maybe try if the bug exists there aswell...

I haven't that type of speed either, set at 50% for me is half the connection speed. As shown in the status, bottom bar and a connection analyze tool.

Just playing more with the speed limiter today, as needing bandwidth for other things.
1.
Setup - Connections - Maximimum Downloadspeed KB/s
Set this speed to half of connection (for example)
On gui alter speed limit to any % and all is corrrect. Although for 100% speed reverts back, to your full normal connection speed.
2.
When speed limit set below max connection speed any %, the status download bars slow down. Looks like start and stops quickly (or stutter or brief pauses). They're not like normal fluid flowing, like water.
(Actualy maybe (2.) is correct as showing actual real time data progress of each part. Maybe would be faster with better hard drive, cpu or memory than i use (remember P2, SD100 or SD133 well its only a net pc, performance not needed for it). Though Maybe somone with modern pc etc can comment if is slow on there's using a x2, x4 or x6 cpu.
None of the above affects the download speed. Seemed best thread topic to note these bugs.
