After upgrading from 0.25.0 to 0.31.6 I noticed that my download speeds began spiking from their normal rate of 3000-3100 KB/sec to 0 KB/sec and back again. The network monitor and Task manager monitor both showed the network speed falling to 0 for no apparent reason. I had no other downloads or uploads at the time. In addition, I do not have this issue with Newsbin Pro or Alt.binz 0.25.0. I'm on a 25/20 FiOS line, and it's usually rock-solid stable.

I don't see anything obvious in the log and it's quite long, so if there's something important, please tell me what to post. Thanks!

Hm, av scaning the nntp traffic and 0.31.6 exe wasn't added as an exception?

I connect to Astraweb using SSL, so I don't think it could scan the data as it would be encrypted. In addition, I have HTTP scanning disabled in NOD32, which is the component that would likely be responsible.

Just in case, I have added an exclusion for the astraweb domain.

It'll take a bit to see if the issue has been resolved. I'll report back with my findings shortly. Thanks for the quick response!

EDIT: I'm about 10 GB through another archive and haven't had any download spikes after disabling NOD32. It seems the HTTP component wasn't the problem since adding it as an exception didn't help. Disabling NOD32 entirely did. Any idea why this problem would not impact Alt.binz 0.25?

Another 200 GB downloaded without issue. The problem was NOD32, but I still am not sure why this version of alt.binz is the only one to be affected. If you have any ideas how to get NOD32 to work with alt.binz, I would be interested. Currently, I have it disabled entirely.
