Downloading alot of nzb's over a few days: par function dies
« on: February 26, 2007, 10:15:18 pm »
I was downloading alot over the past few days.

The computer was running for 3-4 days, while I was downloading over 200 nzb's. I never restarted alt.binz

After about 3-4 days, the par function stopped working. I could see that it stopped midway while adding files to one nzb, while it didn't add all the other nzb's that came after that.

I solved it by restarting alt.binz, and downloading the '1 block parfile' that is present in each nzb. This triggered the par function to add, check and unrar most of the nzb's.

This probably won't happen alot when people use alt.binz. Who would leave his machine on for several days, while downloading 200+ nzb's? But it's still an annoyance :)

Not helpfull if you cannot point to particular nzb that triggered error. Try downloading the same nzb and reproducing problem

Can't remember what nzb it was exactly, and I'm not going to download for several days on end with 200+ nzb's, again.
