Today I tried updating my Alt Binz program on my other laptop to version 0.39.9. This laptop has been unable to accept any version of Alt Binz higher than 0.25.0, which is what I've been running on it (OLD!!!!) Here are the error messages I receive after replacing the 0.25.0 files with the 0.39.9 files.

Running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 x64 4GB-RAM
I always have to revert to 0.25.0 to get Alt Binz working again

5min on that system and I would make it run.
Delete all config files, copy altbinz in some folder and it will work.
-
Where are the config files that I'm supposed to delete located? They aren't in the Program Files/Alt Binz folder.
And if I understood correctly, once I delete those config files, I just overwrite the Alt Binz files with the latest version?
Thanks

Q: Where is config file located
A: In misc folder located either in alt.binz installation folder or in c:\Users\_USER_\AppData\Local\Alt.Binz

Sorry I took so long to respond. I tried the steps mentioned above and I'm still reproducing the same error. I went to C:\Users\(USER)\AppData\Local and deleted the entire Alt Binz directory. I then upgraded to 0.39.9 and I continue to get the same error. There is still no user data under the Program Files directory

then don't upgrade, do a fresh install
delete alt.binz folder in appdata\local and alt.binz folder in program files
I would do this if i experienced your issues

Yeah I guess I'll have to stick to 0.25. Tried a fresh install of the newest version and got the same results.
Thanks anyway!

Arrange session for me via teamviewer. We'll make it work.

:o Don't stick to 0.25, big loss of functionalities of that awesome app
Was just thinking, you got a x64 windows and talked about "program files", move you altbinz folder to "program files (x86)", the other one always need more admin rights
wild guess but, who knows....

I finally came to a conclusion. I believe the laptop is just all screwy, OS-wise (that's Vista for you). Other programs started acting up also, so I decided to do a clean wipe and install Windows XP instead, & I was able to install Alt Binz 0.39.9 flawlessly.
Thanks again for the help!
