Alt.Binz cant be reopened from systray
« on: October 24, 2009, 03:35:51 am »
As already reported in the german-section of the forum, many have the problem that they cant reopen the application when they minimize it to systray.

https://www.altbinz.net/forum/index.php?topic=3292.0

I first used Windows XP SP3 32-bit and never had this problem. Now using Windows 7 64-bit, the problem is repeating every day. I close it to systray, when i now set some options over right-click on the icon everything works. From a special point ( dont know what this is, perhaps unraring something or switching to a new file) it cannot be reopened again. It is fully functional but cant be reopened. Only thing that helps is to kill the app in taskmanager or use a special option in ProcessExplorer ( with that option you can bring the app back to front but when you minimize it again you have the problem immediatelly again).

Version of Alt.Binz is 0.31.2
Operating system is Windows 7 64-bit

Try running Alt.Binz again without killing it through the task manager. That used to work for me when I had this problem.
You might want to check this topic as I believe you are running into the same issue.

The issue hasn't been resolved yet as we haven't figured out a way to reproduce the problem. In my case this 'bug' disappeared all by itself after a while.
At least this way you can keep on using Alt.Binz without killing the process. If you have any more info to share I suggest using the topic I linked to as there are a lot more people reading that one.
