high CPU usage & out of memory errors 0.31.1

Hi, 
I've been using 0.31.1 since it's release but yesterday it's started giving me out of memory errors. When I look at the Processes list just starting altbinz it's using up to 50% cpu & the memory keeps going up & within 5 minutes it's reaching 441,708k & rising until it gives the out of memory error. Was working perfect before & my antivirus hasn't reported any viruses so don't understand what's changed

Firstly, look at your Log to see what Alt.binz is doing when you get these spikes.  Secondly, is this all the time, or just with certain NZBs?  Thirdly, do you have any .rar files in your autoimport folder?

It's trying to create so long filename file, only started that day, think I fixed it, deleted a temp file & the last nzb I was trying to download.

Yes, this is a limitation of Windows.  Shorten your folder and subfolder names so the full path to the file is < 255 chars.
