Inclusion of NZB name not preserved when changing unrar folder
« on: September 09, 2017, 08:45:33 am »
This has been present for several releases. Sorry for not reporting sooner.

When you add a new download that is set to unrar to a folder with the NZB name, then right click on the collection in the download queue and change the unrar folder, the files will unrar directly into that folder and not a subfolder with the NZB name. Possibly related is the fact that the "add to queue" dialogue behaves differently for different tabs. On some (omg and newznab in my testing), you need to check "+NZB name" for the "Unrar to" folder. On others, checking the box will add the nzb name twice (in nested folders).

I need more detailed explanation of this. Add to queue dialog is the same (or at least should be the same) for every tab. You say that it is set to unrar to a folder with the nzb name but then you say that you need to check nzb name under unrar folder. Do you have set unrar to nzb folder under setup-> unrar or not?

Maybe document every step with image for me including setup->unrar screen.

"Setup > Unrar > Create subfolder based on NZB name" was originally unchecked for me. After playing with it, all tabs seem to be behaving the same now. I am certain they were not before, but I can't reproduce it anymore. So I'll show what happens now with that option checked and unchecked. I'll also use two download categories to demonstrate some of the weirdness.

Download categories:

With "Create subfolder based on NZB name" unchecked

A1) The dialog starts like this:

A2) If I check +NZB name:

(NZB name included twice)

A3) After I select category "checked":

(+NZB name still checked, NZB name included once)

A4) category "unchecked":

A5) After I check +NZB name again:

(+NZB name checked, NZB name included once)

With "Create subfolder based on NZB name" checked

B1) The dialog starts like this:

(NZB name included twice)

B2) If I uncheck +NZB name:

B3-B5 (using the categories) look the same as A3-A5.

When changing the unrar folder of a collection (or collections) in the download queue, the "include nzb name" behavior seems to follow whatever the global setting is rather than what you had selected for the individual collection.

I think that the way it should or is supposed to work:
A1 and B2 should look like A4 (the "unchecked" category).
B1 and A2 should look like A3 (the "checked" category).
Inclusion of nzb name should probably be remembered on a collection-to-collection basis.

In that case, I would have the global setting checked and everything would work as expected.

You need to tell me download folder path, unrar to different dir checked? and unrar folder path. I need to know them in order to figure out if starting dialog is ok.

Default download folder was "B:\". "Unrar to a different folder" was not checked.
