Strange performance bug
« on: November 22, 2019, 01:59:11 am »
Hi,

I'm running the latest version of Alt.Binz (0.47.1)...Ive noticed a few strange things.  Basically, my system is unusable whilst downloading anything.  I cant open File Explorer, if I have it open before starting Alt.Binz and select a folder I get the spinning cursor.  Right-clicking on the task bar either gives nothing, or a slow response.  Trying to bring up Task Manager does the same.  Its gets to the point where Ctrl-Alt-Del takes a long time to respond to try and access Task Manager.  If I manage to kill Alt.Binz during this, it can take a good 30 secs to a minute for everything to settle down.  If I've been downloading during the day whilst at work, I'll have to reboot my PC to get stability back to normal.

I'm running the latest Windows 10 release, 32 Gb memory.  Has anyone else come across this before?

Happy to supply any further info.

CB

My Windows 10 machine, 16GB ram is having the same issue but doesn't seem as bad as yours. Also, decoding speeds are extremely slow even after playing with Decoder thread priorities.

FIXED my issues by deleting the altbinz located in C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local

Installed the newest version 0.47.1.1 and all my problems are now gone.
