If you right-click in the Supersearch tab to open a file from Usenet that's already been downloaded onto the hard disk (whether by adding to queue or by previously opening it in the same way), it will fail to open.
If 'skip file if already downloaded' is selected, it won't redownload or open the existing file, otherwise it'll redownload with the x extension, but not open the file afterwards (although file association would be off with the different file extension anyway).

Suggestions on how should it be handled?

Perhaps when choosing to 'open' files rather than 'downloading', it might be best to ignore the 'skip file if already downloaded' setting if that's possible, and just download it with the 'x' extension as what happens if that option is disabled - with certain filetypes it could be quite common to open files with identical names (e.g. opening a selection of 'readme.txt' files).
There's a problem then with opening the file with the different extension type - perhaps add the 'x' to the filename not the extension - for example, readme.txt, readmex.txt?
