what are ur system specs?
4 GB of ram, I always have at least 1 Gig left
Plenty of disk, Core 2 E6750

how much cache did u put in settings->download #2 ?
51MB (?) is that ok too low? I changed it to 100MB :)
What is this setting?

Not really but Altbinz has been running for a while so maybe memory got jammed after a while or something?

BTW just upgraded to 0.31.3

Well I have 30 minutes in the cache!!!! so there is an issue here: I can d/l a lot in 30 minutes!
What would be the recommendation here? 2 or 3 min? then the amount of memory would be in my config something like 200 MB ...
you see what I mean ... ;)

(suggestion: if not in the FAQ or userguide, it would be useful there)

Here:

https://www.altbinz.net/wiki/Advanced_Setup#Download_.232

"Note: If you set your cache size to 220MB it DOESN'T mean that alt.binz will use 220MB. If needed it will use UP TO 220MB of memory for article part caching."

Articles are only cached until they're ready to be decoded, then they're decoded & saved to dl folder.  If time limit is reached before then, they're saved to temp folder.

"Remove article stored in cache for more then xx minutes: Time after which files that are still in memory will be copied to your default temp dir. Usually a good start is 2x (time for your typical filesize + decode time) + 10%"

Filesize here usually meaning: .rar filesize.

The Task Manager will show how much memory is currently available.
If you only run alt.binz client and are away from PC alot so it's mostly in idle state, it would be best to put the amount that task manager displays is available. As long as you're not gaming, encoding, FAH, CPU intensive tasks you should put 75% of total ram or what is available when PC is in idle state would make the most sense.

No, that's not how article caching works in Alt.Binz, and that isn't what you should do.  Read my post and the Wiki page again.
