Speed Limit: Not max allowed speed
« on: November 03, 2012, 11:26:06 pm »
I have a little problem with the speed limit. All the values are examples, shows my problem but not the 100% correct values
If i don't set the Limit i wil get full speed 10.000 KB/s
If i set the speed limit now to 8000KB/s (80%) i only get 6000KB/s
If i disable the speed limit (set it to 100%) i will get 10.000KB/s again

you should get 80% of maximum download speed you set up in Setup > connection option
Did you set it up correctly?

Yes of course.

I set 12500 in the setup (that is th speed i got without speed limit). If i set the speed limit now to 80% the indication of actual bandwide limit in the lower left corner shows (the correct value) 10000 but i have only a fluctuating speed at approx 7000. If i switch the speedlimit of i will get the 12500 again

Weird, i never had that bug, hope someone else will be more helpful...

If i were you, i d have a look in the cfg file, checking if there is no trace of an old setup in the file...?

look for
Code: [Select]
MaxSpeed=12500in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Alt.Binz\misc\config.abz
maybe you will find 2 different maxspeed value? (blind shot, just trying to give you a trail)

btw, don't mess with the file, backup it before opening it with notepad

A little pic...
The speed of 7727KB/s is not a fixed value, sometimes it is higher and sometimes it is lower but it is never 10000KB/s like selected
I set the speed limit for testing to 2500KB/s and the actual speed was somethin between 2300 and 2400

No, Scheduler is not activated
I set the speed to 80% at Startup, therefore i have the Speedlimit to 10000KB/S (= 80% of 12500KB/s). Up to here everything is correct, but i dont get the 80%, I only get 80% of the 80%...

It seems that internal timer responsible for speed limit is not working properly on high speeds. I'll have that on my mind, but for now try to work around the problem by playing with max speed value to get as close as possible to desired speed.
