Hi,
the LOG is telling me about Errors, like this:
[10.08.2020 11:24:19] [Dec] File 4asczAKHdAtEz3x8wfCFXr2Pl.part060.rar is missing part 209
[10.08.2020 11:24:19] [Dec] [28,46 GB] [061/124] - "4asczAKHdAtEz3x8wfCFXr2Pl.part060.rar" yEnc is damaged!
[10.08.2020 11:24:23] [Dec] Yenc file 4asczAKHdAtEz3x8wfCFXr2Pl.part060.rar decoded in 6000ms
but file is written to HDD with normal Name (mixed upper & lower case Letters).
It also happens if there are other errors in file (eg no part is missing, but a part has checksum error).
In Setup/Download I have activated "uppercase corrupted files" and deactivated "lowercase OK files".
My OS is Windows10 1909 Build 18363.959 (x64).
And I am using Alt.Binz 0.47.2.1 (LAA) 2020.07.28
Greetings!

Try/use the non-LAA Version!
-
I doubt LAA/normal version has anything to do with it. I've tried to reproduce it, but here it works as expected.
-
Done some more tests.
Problem of not-renamed Files only happens if I change the download folder to an USB-HDD.
If I leave standard download-folder or if I change download-folder to another path on my normal HDD, everything is ok.
Broken file will be saved with normal name and is than immediately renamed to all uppercase letters by AltBinz (as it should be).
If I change download-folder to a path on my USB3.0-HDD, broken file is just saved with normal name and NOT renamed to all uppercase letters!
Tested with LAA and standard (non-LAA) Version of AltBinz, both behave the same.
Don't know if this is really a problem with AltBinz, or mabe with OS/something else.

What filesystem is in use on USB HDD?
-
Hi Rdl !
USB-HDD is exFAT, internal HDD is NTFS.
-
Would you mind trying NTFS on USB HDD?
-
I will try.
Just had to look around for an USB-HDD with NTFS.
-
I've just tried USB HDD with exFAT and everything works as expected.
-
Length of the full filepath on USB HDD? Near 240 chars?
-
On NTFS USB-HDD everything is ok, broken files get renamed to all uppercase.
switching to exFAT USB-HDD and problem is there, broken files stay mixed upper/lower case.
Length of the full filepath is UNDER 240 chars !
(under 100 chars altogether, i've downloaded everything to "usb-hdd-root : nzb-name-folder / file-name")
BTW, i'm only using LAA version for testing now!
-
Just tested setting the default download path directly to exFAT usb-hdd, restarted AltBinz, imported nzb and start downloading.
Broken File also doesn't get renamed to uppercase letters. :(
BTW, USB-HDD (2,5'', 5 TB) came with exFAT filesystem as default and I never formatted it.
Mabe some strange factory exFAT formatting?

Mabe some strange factory exFAT formatting?
The only way to prove that is to reformat it :)
