Title: Why no unrar, although PAR2 is present and ...
Post by: domdom on November 15, 2009, 07:40:15 pm
PAR2 is d/l'ed ok, no repairing is necessary (checked with Quickpar) but no UNRAR?
In order to investigate and provide feedback, is there any reasons why it wouldnt unrar?
And while I am at it, is there a way to start unraring manually?

thanks!

There is a bug where the PAR2 processes can fail when a previous attempt to unrar a rar'd NZB  from autoimport folder has gone kaplooey, iirc.  Solution: exit & restart Alt.Binz, then recheck everything in the PAR2 tab.

mmmm not using that feature (autoimport), just importing from one of the tab in AltBinz, but thanks.

Nevertheless, if something causes the PAR2 processes to hang, only a restart will shift things.  You may then need to hunt down the culprit.  Did it stop working at a particular point in the past?  This is of course assuming that you have Unrar properly configured in Setup.
