Title: Bugs of Notes dialog
Post by: Frasier on March 21, 2010, 12:38:52 pm
Hi!

I'd like to report some bugs of the Notes dialog. These bugs have existed since the first version of Alt.Binz and it'd be nice if they could be fixed:

1) The Notes dialog should be modal, meaning that it should not block the user interface of the main program when it is open.

2) The context menu in the Notes dialog (when right-clicking some text) is missing the standard edit items Cut, Copy and Paste. These are vital for standard user interface operation.

I'm sure Hecks will imediately claim that these are features and not bugs, bit I'm sure professional users will agree here that these are at least issues and it would be great to have these issues fixed.

Regards!

my stance on it:

1.) yeah that would be nice
2.) i don't realy use the menue since shortcuts are faster and they work fine

Sometimes my baby son is on my lap and i have just one hand free, which I then use for the mouse. So being able to copy and paste text from the notes with the mouse would be great! Also, it's standard user interface design - each text field should have these context menu items.

I know I'm not supposed to say that this would be easy to implement, so I will not mention this here ;-) But still, please add this to the next version!

Thanks!
