Right now alt.binz only disconects when the download queue is empty but it would be nice if it was possible to have it also disconet when no download is taking place eventhough the queue is not empty and to automaticaly reconect when any collection gets unpaused...

Unchecking Setup > Connection > 'Connected while idle' does as you describe.

Well, when you click the pause button the threads dont get disconnected. Think that is what he means.

exactly... oftentimes i have downloads in the queue but for later than altbinz stays connected it is very rare that i have an empty queue so i am always connected when altbinz is open...

"Exactly" what? If you have collections paused with Connect button enabled and 'Connect while idle' unchecked, Alt.Binz will stay disconnected from server until you unpause something. When download finishes, it will disconnect from server, but Connect button will still be enabled. Add something new unpaused to the queue, and it will re-connect to server, etc.
Isn't this what you meant in your post? I don't get the whole Pause button thing (which is a bit useless anyway, IMHO :)).

ok good to know.the enabled connect button in altbinz and tray incon which shows the black/blue bar only when connected were irritating to me.
