Title: Is it possible to use HTTPS for built-in searching - https://www.binsearch.info
Post by: dlp1000 on February 16, 2008, 11:26:46 pm
Hello,

Is it possible to use HTTPS instead of HTTP for the Alt.Binz built-in searching? One example would be to use https://www.binsearch.info instead of http://www.binsearch.info.

It's new, so hopefully it will be stable (from the Binsearch Webpage):

SSL

As an experiment, we now support SSL encryption.
However since Binsearch displays banner ads from external sites, you might receive "this page contains insecure items" warning messages.

Cheers
