Any possibility?
-
I think not
-
Doesn't fit completly with your question Filipenko, but if you try emulate alt.binz with wine, it doesn't work, because of the new GUI, which Rdl has used for the program.
Maybe it will work with the normal delphi GUI, but it's not important ;). Would be nice, if you can build a "crap"-GUI-alt.binz version for linux/unix using wine.

You're saying that it worked before new GUI?
-
GrabIt is programmed in delphi, too, but it works perfectly with wine under linux.
Your program used a skin, that doesn't fit with wine, I think. Don't know, if this would work, but I think, we should give it a try ;). Could you build a "extra-version" without these tiny buttons on the top?
But one thing, Wine will hangup on start up. Wine has build up the complete GUI (without buttons) and waits for action. If you click somewhere on the GUI, Linux shouts out, that Wine has hang up. Could post
@Flilipenko you can try to install Wine for MacOSX, you should try Darwine (http://darwine.opendarwin.org/).

Good news ^^
Old version of alt.binz works perfectly under linux with wine :). Whatever, if you could create another version (seperatly) for linux/unix/macos with wine, that would be awesome!

First I need to know exactly what is problem with new versions under Wine. There are at least 4 possibilities
-
Hmm.. I think, we should talk in IRC :P

Speedgraph must be disabled from statusbar
-
wine altbinz.exe
err:systray:delete_icon invalid tray icon ID specified: 7996280d
fixme:systray:handle_incoming unhandled tray message: 4
On linux I only get this on every version who is availlable
how do I need to disable the bar is then everything oke?
-
That error will reamain, but it's not important. Either configure alt.binz via windows (disable speedgraph) or edit misc\config.abz:
[Statusbar]
Panel2Visible=0
or wait for next version which will run under wine with speedgraph.
-
misc\config.abz:
is binary only for so far I can see
Only weird binary signs I shall see if I can get a config.abz from windows
-
config.abz is plain text file
-
I think it's corrupted then every time its get created under linux with wine!
could you post yours ?
-
Just make one then with just this inside:
[Statusbar]
Panel2Visible=0
-
Have done that I thaught that to :)
still the same error do I need a special version of wine?
-
Don't have a clue :) This is the one that comes with SUSE 10.1
-
wine --version gives a output else I'll go search the web and see wich version suse 10.1 has. But I don't think this is a clear to catch find ! So if you could help me I would very appreciate it.
-
Wine 0.9.11
-
I have it running :)
used crossover instead of wine to bad it is only a trial
I think crossover has done a lot that I need to do manually in wine.
Now just typing in IE6 hehe
-
what changed?
i changed what was suggested in page 1 just in case, but it didn't help.

alt.binz 0.24.0 worked great on MacBook with MacOSX 10.4.8 and Crossover 6.0.
Don't know why, but it will close hisself after a few minutes. If I let alt.binz work and don't do something (like surfing in web or chat with friends) alt.binz works great ;).
But if I click on an chat window ... alt.binz will close without any message or error message.

could you post some screenshots ?:)
-

If I let the window minimized, alt.binz works great without any problems. But sometimes it will close (I have written it before) hisself after a few minutes of downloading ...
And, alt.binz could freeze (and wouldn't close it self) if you click on the gui of it.
Would be great, if someone could fix this issue...

Don't know, but now do alt.binz work great on macos :P ... nothing else to do ... all works great ^^.

So what did you do? Switch from 0.24.0 to some of the daily builds? Update crossover?
-
no, I havn't done something.. I've only updated my MacOSX ... and now it works without any problems... don't know why :?:
Have used: MacOSX 10.4.8 and Crossover 6.0, all macosx updates installed.
works great ^^. But sometimes alt.binz an crossover freeze ... but this happens on other programs, too, not only with alt.binz ;).
