A popup for new version check? The current icon change doesn't really grab me.

Personally, I'd rather have him spend his time on an actual feature vs. having a more in your face update notice. :P

Well i dunno about anyone else , but i idle in their IRC channel and see when new versions come out , so don't really see the point in it myself , but that's my opinion.

Edit: a friend just suggested something better , a popup that says "donate you cheap bastard" :)
