copy misc folder save them someware else than the programmfolder.
replace misc folder with miscfolder 1,2,3 ect.  would do exactly what u want...

The easier way in a program is still an option IN the program.

For example :
Tools > Export > SaveFileDialog
Tools > Import > OpenFileDialog

of course thats easier but what i don't get is why anybody would import/export settings so often that it would outweigh the trouble of creating such an option. and if different settings are needed why not use multiple copys each with unique settings?

An export/import setting is never used so often.

It's like Firefox : You can export/import favorite links, but you will use this feature only when you format, or you need your favorites on another PC. And having this feature is easier than going copy/paste the folder containing these favorites.

Indeed, this feature is not the most important feature, but it's a classical feature of programs.
