Whilst I'm grateful for 0.33.4s' attempt to make the bars' numerical display more visible, could I request the amendment of some themes to allow the numerals to be shown permanently in black to further contrast, especially those with dark backgrounds? Thanks.

+1 for that.

I find the white numerals distinctly hard to read, no matter which skin I use.

Black would be fine, especially when using the light business skin. Or, perhaps a further enhancement, whereby the user is permitted to select the font colour which is being utilized on the status bars ?

I use the status bars primarily in making decisions as to what to download next, as well determining completed downloads.

Just as an aside,  I note that the colours, both text and bar, which are used in the connection panel are different from those in the main panel. For one, the connection panel text is black, and the white is somewhat easier to read, probably because of the colour of the bar.

Thanx, I feel almost guilty suggesting an amendment to what is a very intelligent and intuitive piece of software when I've only been a contributor for about 5 minutes, so it's good to know I'm not alone.  :D

I'm not sure what are we talking about? Statusbar? Progressbar?

The numerals in the centre of the Status bars of the Download queue and Connections panel for me, thanks.

So, currently it uses white on empty bar and black on progress.
Same colors are used for connection threads progress (only gradient is rendered horizontaly)
Same colors are used for all skins.

What do you suggest? Black and black? Also any other element of the progressbar can be color customized. So If anyone is handy with paint.net and has ideas I'm willing to implement it.

Black and black for the numerals would work for me. Thanks again.

I am happy with the background colour of the bars. It is just that the white text is somewhat difficult to read. The difficulty is not when there is activity on the status bar, but when there is no activity on the status bar i.e the download job has been paused, or completed 100%. And here I mean the main panel, not the connections panel, (which shows black text on the blue background e.g 0%, and is easy to read.)

I don't wish to make a big deal out of this. That is not my intention. But black instead of white would appear to be a better fit with the current status bar (both) colours. Maybe make it user selectable, if it is not too difficult ?

I'm a newb so I have no idea how to do that sorry, if anyone else more experienced wants to weigh in that would be nice, but honestly it's really not that big a deal. Thanks Rdl for your interest anyway.

Look for a Print Screen, PrtSc or the like key on your keyboard (F11 usually), hit that then paste into image editor (Paint will do) save & upload somewhere, then link here.  Should look something like this:

Thanks, but I wouldn't even know how to change the colours myself, my original request was that black numerals would be available as part of a theme.

OK, I took 3 snapshots.

First the black text on blue background, paused, in the connections panel.

Second, an actual download screen, showing both connections panel and main panel.

And finally, an offline screen

Note the 4% and 13% completion white text in the main panel. For me, it is hard to read. This is what I was initially commenting on.
I posted direct links, as the images were too wide to be properly displayed here.

I hope this helps.
