Lots of +1, but not so many discussions on what extension should be added and for what.

Lets say progressbar. What should it display? Whole queue or current nzb or unrar or par2 progress?

If it is possible, show the same in the icon as in the system tray (green/orange/purple). For most programs I dont use the system tray anymore because I already have a (pinned) icon on the taskbar. Since they are small (with default taskbar settings), the taskbar can show lots of icons.

And for the context menu/jump list, well...because I disabled the system tray icon (yes it says I ;)), move/copy the options to the jump list.

When copying files with explorer or downloading files with Internet Explorer, the explorer icon shows a progress bar. Do you think you can use that system for showing the download speed? Like the vertical bar in the current system tray icon. Maybe others want to see the par/unrar progress but I care more about the download speed.

I'm using windows 7. If you're also using it, go to Settings -> User Interface and turn off 'Minimize to Tray' (1/2 way down). That'll keep it in the dock, rather than in the system tray. unfortunately the icon doesn't change colour or provide speed there though.

Agree with :
- show the same in the icon as in the system tray (green/orange/purple)
- context menu/jump list, move/copy the options to the jump list.
- progress bar (whole queue) and / or showing the download speed

I second that, maybe an option to detect if the OS is Win7 and then "minimize to tray" minimizes to win7 dock. but for the icon, I'd say an option to choose what it shows (speed, progress, ...) and of course the colours for par2 and unrar.

Sounds great guys, that's exactly what I was thinking. It may not be a walk in the park to make all of this happen though...

actually the API looks relatively straight forward.  Let's just hope RDL has time :)

Let's keep all of this configurable from within Alt.Binz. I've been on Win7 since the official beta but I still prefer to have stuff like Alt.Binz placed in the system tray. I only use the 'Pin to taskbar' for applications that I use all the time (like Firefox). That's mainly because I have my taskbar set to showing not just the icons but also the labels.

About the icon taskbar: a cosmetic request if easy to do (I suppose it is) especially if Altbinz stands in the taskbar all the time which is more common with 7 :
please improve its appearance, right now it is well ... improvable :)

Now what could we need if support is implemented for 7 thumbnail?
for instance I would hover the taskbar to check current file and overall download progress status: % and ETA? and maybe "Pause" "Resume", actually something similar than a mediaplayer, like this:

Any other ideas?  ;D
