NZBMatrix RSS help required

Hi all,

i have the RSS thing running and functioning properly using TVNZB.  However when i try to use NZBMATRIX to do the same feeds do not get addd to the download queue.  I Searched the forum and found some articles about this, but none with the answer providing the solution (something about expanding the url with login data).  The post that the possible solution refers to is inaccessible (404 error) http://www.altbinz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1096 .  Could someone repost the solution to using alt.binz and NZBMATRIX rss feeds?

What happened when you tried to add your userid and password in the url as in the example at the top of this thread:

As for the dead link, that must be an ancient post, because the forum doesn't use that url format anymore.  Where did you find it?

To answer your question; i do get the list from nzbmatrix in the feeds ok, however the filtered items do not get queued.  I think there might be a syntax error in the link suggested url though as the current one does not look like the ons in the topic you suggested :

check from nzbmatrix now : http://nzbmatrix.com/rss.php?cat=tv (i guess i have to append the COOKIE:uid=*****:pass=******************** to it, which i did)

if you've added

:COOKIE:uid=<your_username>:pass=<your_password>

to your chosen RSS url and it isn't downloading the NZBs, then NZBMatrix has made a change to the site and you'll need to request a fix in the Requests forum.

Edit: just to be sure, check that the cookie info is correct by logging in to the site and typing 'javascript:document.cookie' in the url box.

Hi again.

i did as you suggested, i added the cookie string to the url : http://nzbmatrix.com/rss.php?cat=tv:COOKIE:uid=xxxxxx:pass=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

When i query the feed via rss refresh and timer i do get the feed results.  However when i manually select one for download that does not get added to the queue.  I am adding some lines from the log file, where one can see what happens when i select a show from the nzbmatrix feed and the tvnzb feed.

I guess i will have to put in a support request eventually.  It is no big deal as most of the shows appear in the tvnzb feed anyway, just thought to give it a shot.

Yeah, if you open the downloaded NZB in notepad, you'll probably see html rather than xml tags, meaning that you've been redirected to the info page, so downloading from RSS no longer works for NZBMatrix.

I'll move this thread to Bugs in anticipation of a fix.
