So, the first thing to do, if you haven't already tried just restarting Alt.Binz, is to figure out what has changed on your system between "a few days ago before the problem started" and today. Alt.Binz doesn't, as a rule, develop bugs spontaneously.
Yeah restarting Alt.Binz was the first thing I tried. I also rebooted the server to see if that would help. The last successful import was on the 23rd, and I was out of town until the 25th, so nothing had changed on the server. I'm going to go through the server logs to double check that, but I'm almost positive. I was surprised that it just stopped working when nothing has changed as well.
What is the location of the Alt.Binz app folder, NZB watch folder, d/l directory? Does AB run under the SYSTEM user? If AB runs under some other user does that user have permissions to the necessary directories. Yes, I know...but if we missed an exception handler it would account for the crash. I am a bit boggled why you would run AB from within Server 2008.
ce
Alt.Binz app folder: E:\Applications\Alt.Binz
NZB watch folder: E:\Download Import
D/L directory: F:\Download
It is running as administrator, it always has for the past year. It's also not that it won't import from the import directory, I cannot manually import an NZB file from Alt.Binz itself, doing that causes it to crash. I run Server 2008 for a few reasons, mainly DFS. The server runs 24/7 as a networking backup, media server, ftp, but mainly handle downloads with Alt.Binz.
