Just installed alt.binz 35.1. When I attempt to launch it, I get the following error:
The procedure entry point ConvertToGlobalHandle could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
When I click OK in the dialog, the application proceeds to launch and appears to work normally, in spite of the message. I rebooted the computer just to see if the problem went away. It didn't. It happens every time I launch. I am running Windows 7. The only thing I can think of that is unusual about my setup is that it is a 3 monitor setup and I use Ultramon to maintain a separate toolbar on each monitor. Other than that I haven't a clue.
Thanks

I'm getting the same message at startup. I use XP and a single display.

Is this still a problem?
Can you confirm it really started with 0.35.1 and was not there in 0.35.0
-
I have the same problem too. Even with the latest version. I'm not sure when it started but it has been a while for me.
-
I still need exact version when it started

I went from 33.4 to 35.1 and problem wasn't there in 33.4 but is there in 35.1
Since the old versions are removed from their threads I can't download other versions in between to test.
I am running Windows 7 x64 if that makes any difference. If you want to provide 35.0 or earlier I will happily report my findings.

You have pm with download link

ok 0.35.0 does not have the error and 0.35.1 does have the error.

Nice.
I'll take a look what could be a problem now that I know for sure when the problem started.
Few more info if you can provide. When does the error popup?
Was the main form visible? Before authentication window or after?
Program wont continue loading until popup window with error is closed?
-
The error pops up immediately after clicking to run Alt.binz.
Main form is not visible during error. Nothing will happen until I click ok on the error dialog then program seems to load normally but always seems to be behind other windows I have open.
In my brief research on the error message I can only find old information regarding 16bit apps causing the error.
I would post an attachment of a screencapture of the error but I can't find any way to attach to posts here.

This should be fixed in 0.36.2
Thx to SixPax for testing.
