Search with an engine, multi select many files using ctrl key. Eample select files from top, middle and botttom of search list. Next add all multi selected files with 'add To Queue'

notive the highlighted file under the mouse when selecting 'AddTo Queue' deselects (doesn't get added to the queue)

with nzbsearch, nzb.su and nzb.cc there is no multiselect, the only searchengine i could find that acts the way u describe is yabse, the rest works as it should.

These three are multi-selectable both with problem above NZBIndex, Binsearch, Yabse

Mysterbin works as i would expect itto do. Maybe use this to comparing with the above !

These are non Multi-Selectable, neither have the problem described above NZBSearch, Mysterbin, RSS

These are untested Xpat, NZB.su, Aeton

I can't reproduce that either with NZBIndex or Binsearch following the steps you described - multi-select with ctrl works fine, and everything is added to queue OK.

So this seems to be only an issue with Yabse, but who uses that anyways :P.

Edit: Aeton is fine too.

I'm using primary Binsearch atm, and thats where i noticed it.

Maybe i didn't eplain enough.
Example.

A Binsearch - search results (numbers below represents one line of search of many)

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9

Using LEFT mouse button select numbers 1 - 3 - 5 - 7 and 9

Select one of those highlighted (1,3,5,7,or 9) to add them to download queue (as one). Using the RIGHT mouse button 'Add to Queue'. Now you should see the highlighted entry you selected was deslected and wasn't added with the rest.

Found The Bug.
I have noticed what the problem is, Doing all of the above using Right mouse button only all is ok. Though normal is Left mouse button for selecting etc. And Right mouse button is used for drop menus etc. Mouse action not configured correctly for this part of altbinz.

I really have no idea what you're talking about.  It works perfectly fine and as you'd expect with left mouse ctrl + click on multiple items, followed by right mouse 'Add to Queue'. If anyone else can reproduce this with steps the rest of us can actually follow, then fine, otherwise this is just FUD.

Yes, right button is configured to select also. Bug appears only if you hold ctrl while clicking right mouse button.
And yes, you didn't explain it right. I don't see that you wrote you were holding ctrl in previous messages. Only from last message we can figure out that you're holding it ( or I don't see how else could you select every second item.

Ah i see don't keep ctrl button help down when selecting. Which have always done when working with files etc. Will remember and is workable for me.

Delete this thread as no problem exists. Have not been using the ctrl key incorrectly with xp for 10 years. Using ctrl key as if still using older pcs, unknown why since many older pc's never had ctrl key located at bottom corners as are now !!

CTRL Key used to multi-select or to select a comination of items, press and hold the ctrl key make selection using left or right mouse buttons.

Shift Key used to multi-select or to select a comination of items. A drop list opens conviently for right mouse button multi-select.
While it is unconvient when selecting many individual files. Since while it is there unable to scroll the search list or choose another file, as the last selected will be deslected on selecting next item.

Using the control key is better when selecting many individual items on a search list. Then use right mouse button for selecting the last selection to ensure it is also added to the queue.

Am using xp if it's making a difference, shouldn't be. Though i have read vista and windows 7 was rebuilt and different from other windows os's. I have never used them i don't know how much different.

Hecks:

Press and hold CTRL
Select item 1 with left mouse click
Select item 3 with left mouse click
Select item 5 with left mouse click
Press right mouse button while on item 5
Release CTRL (this step isn't important - the important thing is that it's pressed while doing previous step)
Select any of the add to queue option - in that moment you'll see item 5 deselecting itself

Note to Zoned: ^^^ This is what I meant by detailed step by step instructions  :P

Ah, finally I get it! So basically it happens if you use a PC like nobody uses a PC :P.

To be consistent with Windows behaviour elsewhere, I suppose multi-select should be disabled for ctrl + right button combo. So as in Explorer (XP here):

1) right-click without ctrl brings up context menu and autoselects just one item if none are already selected

2) ctrl + right-click never de-/selects, just brings up menu

3) so: multi-select with ctrl + left and then ctrl + right just brings up  menu
