My apologies if the post seemed sarcastic, I was trying to illustrate the problem as I saw it (I felt people would visualize the similarity in luminace of yellow & white and thus understand the difficulty in reading the highlighted item) . I forgot about skins (I use the 'Windows7' skin, but I also see the same problem in the 'SmartStyleSilver' and 'Office2007' skins; it does not show up in the other skins, possibly because they don't use black text?).
I have uploaded to HotFile two foreground window captures of the AltBinz download queue. 'wht_blu-queue.jpg' has the cursor in the queue area, while 'wht_blu-status.jpg' has the cursor in the download thread status area. I believe they illustrate how the hi-lited text almost disappears in the active frame.

Again, my apologies for my poor attempt to convey a visual experience using too few words (I guess the old adage of 'A picture is worth a 1000 words' is quite true). FWIW: I rely quite heavily on AltBinz to keep my 'download pipe' full & busy, and it does an excellent job of that.
