The idea of highlighting the currently selected entry in the download queue is nice, BUT I find white text on light blue background is only better than using yellow on white as a display choice. It doesn't make sense to have to remove a cursor from the active window/panel just to be able to read the selected text.

I find this post a bit useless and sarcastic. So this will be the one and only time I will bother with replying to it.
Start it first with name of the skin you're using, throw a few example pics to better describe current situation and then throw a pic as an example what it should look like.

My apologies if the post seemed sarcastic, I was trying to illustrate the problem as I saw it (I felt people would visualize the similarity in luminace of yellow & white and thus understand the difficulty in reading the highlighted item) . I forgot about skins (I use the 'Windows7' skin, but I also see the same problem in the 'SmartStyleSilver' and 'Office2007' skins; it does not show up in the other skins, possibly because they don't use black text?).
I have uploaded to HotFile two foreground window captures of the AltBinz download queue. 'wht_blu-queue.jpg' has the cursor in the queue area, while 'wht_blu-status.jpg' has the cursor in the download thread status area. I believe they illustrate how the hi-lited text almost disappears in the active frame.

I have not been able to create a 'what I'd like it to look like' screen. As best as I can describe it: don't invert the color of the selected text (on the Windows7 skin that should be using just the light blue hi-lite bar on black text).
Again, my apologies for my poor attempt to convey a visual experience using too few words (I guess the old adage of 'A picture is worth a 1000 words' is quite true). FWIW: I rely quite heavily on AltBinz to keep my 'download pipe' full & busy, and it does an excellent job of that.

he wants black font instead of white when something is highlighted, because it's easier to read:

black font is already used for marked items when an other window is opened.

This should be better now.
