Ones with this issue - do you use language file? (even english one)
I have the problem too. Just now, as a test, I quit out of alt.binz, moved all the languages to another folder, then restarted the app. It defaulted to its built-in language text... lo and behold, the balloon hints work as they should.
If I restore the language files and try again, selecting English, then the hints are once again messed up (all of them will say "Free space on unrar drive").
I'm not sure what the problem could be. I looked at the English language file, and noticed a section titled "[StatusbarHints]" with all the correct text, but alt.binz doesn't seem to interpret this section correctly (or at all?).
