AutoCleanup cleaning up too soon
« on: April 11, 2007, 01:53:33 am »
I just updated to 24.1 and like the new additions, especialy auto cleanup. However, it looks like there is an issue with what it cleans up.

I set altbinz to download a bunch of files loaded as 5 nzb files.

I left the program to download the files over night, and today when I checked, 4 of the nzb files were downloaded and automatically unrared. I looked into why the 5th nzb did not finish and it was missing one par2 part. The nzb contained the par2 files, but they were not downloaded and were not listed in the que.

I have auto cleanup set to 60 minuets.

It looks like auto cleanup removes all paused files regardless of if they are part of an nzb that has already been completed and are not needed or if they are part of an nzb that has not completed as thus not sure if they are needed yet or not.

I reloaded the 5th nzb and the par2 files were listed. I unpaused the one par2 part, and after the download altbinz automatically checked the files, repaired them and then unrared the files.

mmm... badly worded...

I think you mean auto cleanup cleans up INCORRECTLY deleting NEEDED par2 files. Rather then "too soon". It should NEVER clean those up regardless of the timer. 1 minute, one hour, one month or manual, it should NOT delete par2 files while there are corrupt files.

I missed this because of the wording and posted it as well:
