I installed Alt.Binz 0.28.2 a few days ago, having previously been a user of the free version. Generally, everything has been fine, except for some odd issues whereby files would download fine, typically until the last two or three files in a collection, where it would simply stop. If I then add more downloads, or unpause some of the .par2 files, the downloads will continue, but will then stop again after another file or so is downloaded. There's plenty of free disk space, the scheduler is disabled, and it's making very little sense. The articles are there on the server - the log doesn't report any issues - but the files simply don't download unless there is more in the queue waiting. As an example, I have one ~200MB download just now that has stopped on around 170MB. I unpaused the par2 files and it finished one file, and downloaded 10% of another (15MB) file. But again it has just stopped, with 140MB left to go. But if I go and add some other random file to the bottom of the queue, then alt.binz happily downloads the rest of my files for the collection I actually want.
OS is Windows XP x64 Edition, running Outpost Firewall 2009. No problems of this sort occurred with Alt.Binz 0.25.0.
Anyone got any ideas or had similar problems? Thanks for any assistance.

can you make a screenshot from your queue (expand the collections with problems) and post it along with your log?

While you're at it, can you also check your Outpost logs and make sure it's not related to something like this:

Also, since another user just mentioned it on IRC: are you with UNS?

Apologies for the large images:

Interestingly, this one has also stopped at about 150MB, which is roughly what the other files had stopped at.
I've checked my Outpost logs, and the usenet servers are not blocked - indeed, if I were to unpause those .par2 files, a few more of the proper .rar filse would then download, and again it'd stop after a couple more files. (I can do this and post screenshots if desired.) I'm with Easynews.
Thanks,

very strange.
what does happen if you restart alt.binz? will the download continue?
Edit: i just saw on your screen, that your queue size is negativ? maybe your queue.abz is corrupt
try to finish your download and then delete all files with "queue" in its name from your misc folder and try again

Hmm, it's been like that for as long as I can remember, it was a bit odd, but it never caused problems before. I'll try this and see if it makes a difference. It would seem logical - it coincides with the fact that the queue seems to stop when it's negative now.
