Hello, Love the program! It's the best out there for dl'ing. Anyway I needed to use the "maximum download speed" feature in the setup and it doesn't work.
I have a max dl speed of 10Mbps and I get 1.2MBps going all the time.
I'm using Vista x64 Business Edition.
I tried setting this when it's in the middle of dl'ing, dissconnecting then reconnecting with the cap in place and it still maxes out at 1.2MBps. I set the Max to 800KB but that doesn't limit the dl speed.
Using latest version 0.31.2. I have newshosting.com and have only 8 connections.
Any ideas? Thanks...

The "maximum download speed" is only for using the scheduler and speed limiter. Try setting the maximum to 110% of the maximum speed, then set limiter to 90%. Might "solve" your problem.

Can we just be clear about which units you're using:
10 Mbps = 10000000 bits per second
10000000 bps / 8 = 1250000 bytes per second
1250000 / 1024 / 1024 = 1.2 MB/s (megabytes per second)
i.e. your maximum dl speed
Edit: er, i think i may have misunderstood what the OP wants, listen to Ascathon ;)

I still don't think this is working.
In the Connection properties I set my Maximum DL speed to '1000' KB
In the Scheduler I set the entire grid to 70% of maximum. I then disconnected and then reconnected and still it caps out my bandwidth. Get 1.2MBps.
I then tried setting the max to 1400KB and setting the grid all white to 50%, disconnected then re-connected and still maxes out.
Any ideas?

it does work just tested it.
u don't need no reconecting. reconnection is only needed if u change something concerning the server or one of the options marked by the asterix.
simply put in 1200 KB as Max->OK
click in bottom-left corner where it says no limit, choose 50%. it will then say 600kB/s and the speed will drop to 600 +-50
if u want that limit from the start away u can put it in settings->misc
if u want different limits at different times of the day use the schedueler it needs to be active at all time u can activate it from start also in settings->misc
