NZBIndex not working

I am using 0.28.5

NZBIndex searches are not working - no results returned.

I checked the NZBIndex.nl site and they have updated their site

I've no doubt a fix will come in the next version but as this is a fundamental part of the app (for me & others), an idea of when it will be addressed would be appreciated i.e. days / weeks / whenever....

What's fundamental about it?  Alt.Binz is a downloader with integrated search, the whole proggy doesn't become useless just because one search engine stops working ... there are at least four others just as good if not better, and you can always  use http://www.nzbindex.nl directly instead.

Judging from the past, broken search engines are usually fixed in the next version.  See for yourself in the Version History.

Judging from the past (ie the release list). A new version is posted every 3 months. So a fair estimate would be that the next version will be posted in June, thus to answer your question, NZBIndex should be fixed around June. Of course rdl has no obligation to do so, just do some research (the first topic of each release thread in the contributors forum).

In the mean time I recommend these options:

1. Use the search manually (via the NZBIndex website)
2. Use another search engine (I personally don't find the others much use)
3. Use an Nzb site like merlins-portal etc (same sort of thing)
4. Use a different program that does include a nzb search tool (im not aware of any)
5. Write your own program (good luck with that)

At the end of the day patience is the key. Its unfortunate that NZB messed about with things on their site so soon after a release, but I guess your going to have to wait patiently for the next 3months+ like the rest of us
