Altbinz downloading unneeded par files
« on: March 01, 2008, 10:46:34 am »
This happens for example with music albums posted with a par2 set and also sometimes with some big files that were cutted with QuickPar (those files that QuickPar itself joins).

In those cases, Altbinz thinks that the par2 set is broken and it downloads all the par2 files it finds.

However, if I open it with QuickPar, the set is correct and needs no repairing.

I have a NZB that will reproduce this problem, if you need it.

Thanks!

where does this nzb come from?

there is currently a bug with nzbs from nlss (pars will not be added as paused)

Alt.Binz will only download par2 files, if there are enough files to repair.
So I think all par2 files where unpaused.

Yes, they come from NLSS. You're right then! It looked like Altbinz failing to rebuild Quickpar's splitted files had something to do with this, but it was just a coincidence.

Thanks!
