Title: Changed password
Post by: Appel on February 14, 2011, 01:11:44 am
Hi, I changed my password on the forum this evening. After that I would expect for altbinz also to request the password to be changed. This did not happen, however it starts up without problems, so I assume this went fine. However, when I wanted to log into my newsserver (xsnews) it did not open any connections. I did not change the password of xsnews, and made no changes to the configuration in the altbinz program. So there are 2 options. Either coincidentally Xsnews is down at this time, or the change of the password for altbinz resulted in this. Has anyone had the same?

Note: I actually restarted my pc after all changes, just to be sure there was no hanging process or whatever to cause this.

I did some more testing, and it turns out that it is indeed the password change on the forum that makes the Altbinz program to make no connections. I did some testing, and if I change the password back to the original password (on the forum), then everything works again and I can connect to my newsserver.

How can I change the password on the forum as well as within the program? (I guess that is the new question)

Thanks Hecks. I searched through the forum, but clearly not good enough!
