Title: file retention and a few questions......

I have never used a Newsgroup. Are they different than torrents? Does Alt.binz have a long file retention. Is this application easy to use? (basically idiot proof?)
What search engine used with Alt.binz? Please don't freak out with all my noobie questions.  Moky  ;D
