Why Alt.Binz?

Hello,

I am new to Usenet (a few days only) and until now I have try NewsBin (I am on day 2 of the10 days free trial period) and today I started to use Alt.Binz. Since they seem to work and download both at the same speed, it seems that the the main advantage of Alt.Binz is that it is free.
It is a bit strange to ask the following a question on Alt.Binz forum where people are supposed to be Alt.Binz dedicated users  but anyway....What is the catch ? Is there something that Alt.Binz and other free clients do not have or do that NewsBin's users are ready to pay 35$ for ? What are according to you the advantages of  Alt.Binz over other free clients?

I guess simply because there isn't any company behind Alt.Binz who wants to gain profit by asking users to pay for a subscription.
However...on the being free thing. Version 0.25.0 is the last version available for the public. Every bug in this version is fixed in later version but these are only available after donating (see other topics/altbinz website news posts).

Integrated search engines and downloading from RSS would probably be at the top of the list of distinguishing features, as well as general usability and snappiness, but there's a lot more to Alt.Binz besides those.  Really the best thing to do is scan the Version History after 0.25.0, that should give you a flavour:
