Title: I am confused..am I missing something obvious?

Just curious why, at the top of the forum page, the Heading "News: Alt.Binz 0.27.0" is showing, and why, when going to the download area I am presented with no option above v 0.25??

From the main page:

Alt.Binz 0.25.0 is the last release available to public. It's freeware. You can use it for free as long as you like.

However, if you think this software is valuable and you want to support it through monetary donations, you are encouraged to do so. By donating you will help the development going. Also you will gain access to future versions of Alt.Binz and you will be able to make feature request that you would like to see in upcoming versions.

Please donate an amount that you think Alt.Binz is worthy by clicking on the Donate button. You will be taken to PayPal site. Make sure you fill out your forum username in Comment box. All online transactions are safe and secured.

Its worth contributing. You help out rdl keep development going and get the latest versions. The new one has all new icons and looks very professional looking.

As well as having many functional improvements over the 0.25 version...

You know, I'm not against paying for software, but I do think you/the developer/someone needs to explain just what I get in 0.27.1 vs 0.25.0... All I've seen posted in vague functionality improvements, and that the Icon's look better. But I'm not really ready to spend $15-$20 on icons. I need some sort of sales pitch.

You'll be waiting a long time for that 'sales pitch' because nobody here is trying to sell you anything.  You either donate and join our community, or you don't.  The free 0.25.0 version should give you a pretty good feel for what Alt.Binz does and doesn't do.
