I'm trying to make Alt Binz fully portable
« on: February 12, 2018, 12:03:00 pm »
I'm annoyed with having to keep having to set up Alt Binz everytime i reinstall Windows (i've had the application installed on a another drive for years).

I'm following this guide: https://www.altbinz.net/wiki/Portable

However i cannot find an option to set the new MISC path in setup, only downloads and default NZB folder paths, where can i set the location of the new MISC folder i've copied over from Appdata?

That's all you have to do - copy all from appdata into altbinz.exe folder. If misc folder is found on start next to altbinz.exe it's in portable mode.

Please consider not converting (and saving) relative paths to absolutes
If the Relative in the config is valid  .. don't touch it.

Because next time you use your USB on some other machine . chances are
the now AbsolutePath is NOW invalid.

A simple path.ini next the executable would be the nice
